Join us as we explore the essential principles of hearing conservation, focusing on strategies to prevent hearing loss due to noise exposure and other environmental factors. This course will review the physiology of hearing and the impact of noise on auditory health. It will also cover key concepts such as noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL), the importance of proper ear protection, and the role of hearing healthcare professionals in educating individuals at risk of prolonged exposure to harmful noise levels. Using practical guidelines for creating effective hearing conservation programs in various settings (e.g., workplaces, schools, and recreational environments), participants will be able to implement prevention measures and promote hearing health, ensuring long-term auditory well-being for individuals at risk of hearing damage.
